Rain Wheels - A quick guide!

I created a quick video guide with instructions for hacking together some rain wheels.

Aussie pros and Swedish rippers alike reckon that a rough ragged wheel with some lines in it will do the trick. Patrick Switzer usually rides some neatly lathed wheels, but we reckon this PFR method is good enough.

This method requires

A drill

Pocket knife with hacksaw blade

4 Wheels

2 Bearings

3 bushings

1 big bolt

1 Washer

Please don't inhale urethane dust, it is apparently rather hazardous!

Pretty stoked to skate this bad boy, the Carbon Bullet has been on the wall for a while, so I decided to give it a spin this weekend.

Also cool because now the Flying Pan is set up for some freeriding at the race, which is a bonus!

Also, the Aeras are now GONE, which means I am going to be skating the Calibers for the first time... Hoping for the best but I hear they are pretty lazy so it should be chilled..

Will be getting some new race trucks next year probably, lots of time to ponder what to choose!

Stellenbosch's New Blog!

So way back when in the time of the 2nd Faircape race, PFR was born over some leather stencilling and hypothesising!

Recently the PFR was raised to a higher level of consciousness, and a blog was born!

PlatformPFR is the resulting combination of all of Stellenbosch's best skating and travelling evidence.
